My Big Boy

Daniel's school competed in a Dance Fever Interschool challenge last night. They have been learning to do ballroom dancing for the last 10 weeks at school and last night was the night it was all on show. They were encouraged to get dressed up and just look at my big boy. He was very particular about his hair style, I wasn't allowed to touch it!

The competition

This is Daniel and his partner / "girlfriend" Georgia. They were couple number 238 and they danced the Tango and the Jive.
This is the show dance where they did a line dance to the song "Kung Fu fighting", hence the costume. Daniel's partner in this dance was Ruby, they are the third couple from the bottom. Their school won the show dance contest, the Year 6 contest and they won the competition overall. It was very exciting!

Saturday Cricket

Oliver (Mum, please call me Michael Clarke) decided to play cricket this summer. Oliver had bowling figures of 1/6 last weekend and was the second best bowler. This is Oliver and Bryn after the hand slap on the fielding change-over.Oliver watches the match with his little brother.
Tom and Oliver walk from the pitch after they added 32 runs for their team.

What a difference a day makes

Yesterday was freezing in Sydney, a day for staying and playing inside.Today is beautiful, warm and sunny.

I met Amy Butler

Amy Butler is an American designer. She designs paper goods and she is more widely known for her fabric lines and patterns. I love her fabric and use it a lot and it was the main influence in my quilt I made that is on our bed (I also used it a lot in Elisha and Gareth's quilt, Elisha's wedding bag was an Amy Butler pattern as is the nappy bag I made and Lyndall's cushions are Amy Butler fabric as well as many, many more items I've made). She did a talk in Sydney last night and myself and a couple of my Thursday night "Stitch and Bitch" group went along to listen. She is amazing. Ignore my horrible double chinny chin chin!

Cricket Training

Lewis and I spend a lot of time at various sporting activities and training and yesterday he decided he wanted to investigate his bag with his treats .... and look what he found.
